We promote independence through active treatment, achieve normalization through community access and prepare out consumers to reach their ultimate level of independence.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound and far-reaching impact on society as a whole, particularly affecting individuals who face intellectual and developmental disabilities. This group has experienced heightened vulnerability and challenges during these unprecedented times. In response to this pressing need, the IC Sports and Social Club was established with the primary goal of combating social isolation while promoting overall well-being among its members.
The Club offers a diverse array of engaging and enjoyable activities, including basketball, bowling, video gaming, and lively dance parties, all designed to encourage reconnections and strengthen bonds among peers. In addition to providing recreational opportunities, the Club serves as a supplementary resource dedicated to fostering normalization and community inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
By creating a welcoming and supportive environment, the ISC Sports and Social Club aims to enhance the overall quality of life for its participants through meaningful and enjoyable interactions.
